Steh du nicht auf in der Nacht, außer du gehst auf Erkundung aus oder suchst dir draußen ein Örtchen auf
—Die Reden and Loddfafnier, Poetic Edda
It is quite hard to find the fifth sentence inside a poetic text. For people who cannot read german, this sentence means something like "You should not stand up in the night, unless you go to a exploration or you are going to the bathroom". Ok, it's a bad translation, but amusing that it's fairly dark outside and I had to stand up to reach the book - is this a kind of exploration? I hope so.
